Paris Bike About Tours
Designed for walking and biking in mind, the streets of Paris are relatively easy to get around. Though this tour is a fast-moving 3 1/2 hours long, it's leisurely enough to appeal to children. English speaking guides point out highlights of the city, giving you the information you need to check things out in-depth later. |
Guests from the tour said wonderful thing about their guides and the company owner. They were made to feel like old friends, and given consideration and any advice they requested. This surprisingly easy bike tour of the city could be the perfect start to your Paris vacation.
Fat Tire Bike Tours Paris
Fat Tires hosts bike tours in several European cities, by bike as well as by Segway. It seems this tour focuses more on popular destinations than out of the way gems, but still is a gentle ride through Paris . Segway day tours fall just under two hours, while biking tours last a bit longer. |
The night ride appears to be less touristy and more adventuresome. May be a bit too much for some travelers, given traffic issues (and drinking riders). The bike ride to Versailles was surprisingly pleasant, and well worth the money.
Vedettes de Paris
Located very near to the Eiffel Tower , Vedettes de Paris, a short boating tour on the River Seine, familiarizes visitors with some of the city's highlights mixed with wine and French cuisine. While the tours last roughly an hour, too short for some, they provide a unique and inviting experience without taking up too much of your day. These tours are also a wonderful chance to get off your feet after a long day of walking. |

Canal St. Martin
The cruise along the canal from Parc de la Villette to Porte de l'Arsenal takes about 2 1/2 hours and is a peaceful ride through the locks and tunnels of the canal. Though the walk along the canal is just as peaceful, this is a nice, relaxing break during the midst of a busy vacation, and offers views of the city you normally will not see. |
Paris offers visitors a variety of options when it comes to seeing the city. Tours can introduce you to parts of the city you wouldn't feel comfortable searching out on your own, or offer a leisurely leg to your bustling European vacation. |
